The Baldessarini brand was founded by Austrian fashion designer and businessman, Werner Baldessarini who originally established himself as the chairman of Hugo Boss, hence the close association between the two brands. Following his retirement from Hugo Boss in 2002, Baldessarini branched out with his own signature fashion line complemented by fragrances for men promoted by the line 'separates the men from the boys'. Mäurer & Wirtz acquires Baldessarini from Procter & Gamble - 18 November 2011
Mäurer & Wirtz has acquired the fragrance business of Baldessarini, further expanding its Prestige portfolio. The premium fragrance brand was launched in 2002 by Procter & Gamble as licensee of the Hugo Boss fashion brand.
