Elizabeth Arden Perfumes
What began as a single Red Door salon on Fifth Avenue in 1910 has, over the last 100 years, gone on to become one of the top beauty brands in the world. Elizabeth Arden (born Florence Nightingale Graham) was a true innovator. Credited with introducing modern eye makeup to North America, she went on to establish the American beauty industry and at the peak of her career was one of the wealthiest women in the world.
In terms of fragrances, the company’s primary focus up until the late 80's was on makeup and skin care products having released only one perfume, Blue Grass. However, the release of Eau Fraiche in 1986 and the ever-popular signature fragrance Red Door in 1989 marked the beginning of a new era. Elizabeth Arden has continued to release perfumes both under the Arden brand as well as licensed fragrances for Britney Spears, Mariah Carey and Elizabeth Taylor.
