Lancome Perfume and Aftershave
Lancôme was introduced in 1935 in France as a luxury cosmetics line. The company's renowned symbol of the single golden rose was inspired by the roses in the area of the castle Le Chateau de Lancosme, from which the company takes its name. The founder of the company, Armand Petitjean, wanted the company to stand out as a way to provide the ideals and quality of French beauty throughout the world.
When the Lancôme line first premiered at the World's Fair in Brussels, its focus was on fragrance. Over the years, the line has expanded to include high quality makeup and skin care. Lancôme was the first in the cosmetics industry to introduce lip gloss in a tube -- Juicy Tubes, from the "Pollen" collection. Some of their best-selling skin care products include the "Genifique" youth activating line and "Regenerie" lift volumetry line.
Lancôme is still best known for their high-end, sumptuous fragrances, which include such favorites as the "Miracle" and "Hypnose" lines, as well as their men's collection, which includes opulent and exhilarating scents such as "Miracle l'Aquatonic" and "Trophee.”
