Nina Ricci Perfume
The house of Nina Ricci was founded in Paris in 1932 by Maria Ricci (formerly Maria Nielli and nicknamed 'Nina') and her son Robert. While Maria concentrated on creating her own designs, having previously worked for 20 years at another design house, Robert managed the business and finances.
The company grew rapidly throughout the thirties, expanding into leather goods and accessories and then fragrances in 1946 with the release of Coeur Joie. However it was the 1948 release of L'Air du Temps that put Nina Ricci on the fragrance map. This spicy floral scent with its distinctive Lalique designed "twin-doves" bottle proved to be very popular and is still popular today.
