Thierry Mugler Perfume, Aftershave and Cologne

Despite his initial training as a ballet dancer, Thierry Mugler's passion for design led him to Paris in 1970 where he started his career at the Gudule boutique. This was followed by several years as a freelance designer working for a number of ready-to-wear fashion houses. It was during this time that he created is own label of the same name, continuing his career as a "dynamic designer", moving into haute couture in the early nineties.

The early nineties were also an important period for Thierry Mugler in terms of fragrance with the 1992 release of Angel, in its distinctive star-shaped bottle, a fragrance widely credited as being the start of the gourmand fragrance family.
