Yves Saint Laurent Perfume and Aftershave

Yves Saint Laurent, also referred to as YSL, is an international luxury fashion house founded in 1962 by designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner, Pierre Bergé. Yves began his career as an assistant to Christian Dior but he soon found himself as head designer following the death of Dior in 1957. After being fired from Dior in 1960, Yves was able to focus on starting his own fashion house and over the following two decades, established himself as an influential designer and one of the greatest names in French fashion.

Throughout the late 70s and early 80s, the Yves Saint Laurent brand was popular amongst the European jet-set and upper classes and remained successful through the nineties, eventually becoming part of the Gucci Group in 1999. Despite the closure of the YSL couture house in 2002 and the death of Saint Laurent in 2008, the brand remains popular and continues to release fragrances via YSL Beauté, part of the L'Oreal group.
