This is a real "marmite" fragrance. You are going to love it; or hate it. Personally speaking, I simply adore this one.
On first application you get a sweet burst of florals and a hint of anise (slightly aniseed). This lasts for quite some time before you get to the juicy, fruity heart notes. The base notes are sweet and spicy.
The hint of anise does not entirely go away but lingers right through to the fragrance's final fade-out on your skin.
This does not immediately scream "spring" at me, unlike other floral orientals, it is not light or delicate enough, but it is gorgeously heady, sweet, fruity, spicy and sexy. Go easy with it though and apply it with a light touch, as it is quite intoxicating if you overdo it.
The sillage is intense and its staying power is better than average.
My boyfriend says I smell like confectionary when I wear it (he is not great with words), but he does like it on me. The fact that he noticed it at all is quite a compliment!
This fragrance is a spring or summer scent (not on really warm days though, as it may become cloying). Many people say it is a daytime fragrance, but I disagree, it is better as an evening perfume for nights out drinking and eating "al fresco" with friends.
Presented in an unusual opaque pale jade-green sail/leaf-shaped bottle, this is one that can be left on the dressing table without fear of the perfume becoming sun-damaged.
This is a statement floral oriental fragrance that is as lovely as it is individual – try it – I dare you!
