Red Delicious has a similar note content to Emporio Diamonds – but is much more of a sweet and musky fragrance with distinctive apple and fruits.
Although I detect the rose in the heart of this fragrance, fruit always remains predominant along with the amber.
It does have a nice incense/musky dry-down which gives it enough depth to be worn as a dual-purpose day or evening fragrance.
My only criticism is that it is relatively two-dimensional and not really very complex. Its few predominant notes remain pretty constant until it finally fades away.
Strong on first application, it has pretty good stamina and lasted most of the day without the need to refresh. But when is does fade out – it disappears very quickly.
Presented in a red glass bottle with a large chrome effect lid, it has the signature apple-shape that all the "Delicious" range share.
Another good choice as an autumn or winter fragrance as its strong fruity and musky notes can be a little too cloying in warmer weather.
